Up until the start of the Syrian civil war Assad was looked upon in a positive light by American politicians, never mind that him and his father were nicknamed butchers by the Syrian people. This whole civil war started because a bunch of teenagers were arrested for spray painting anti-government propaganda. That would have happened in a number of countries not just Syria. Now, America sees an opportunity to try to depose an ally of Russia and China so they fight against this dictatorship when they have no problems with Saudi Arabia?

Syria should on paper, be our closest ally in the Middle East theater if not for the Russian and Chinese ties.

Qaddafi's dictatorship was sacked because their relations had really soured big time with France. With France turning on him, he was greenlit and fair game for a regime change in addition to his ailing mental health.

He was a power broker in the Middle East theater and started to clam up and may have asked for too much sovereignty from Uncle Sam. Witnesses had a French intelligence agent unaffiliated with the Revolution, pushed past the men detaining Qaddafi, leaned in, and shot Qaddafi while the captors were deciding what to do with him.

But he was a dicktater hehe who cares.

lol I won't personally attack you over this statement.

But please, go create your own democracy in Syria.

Let us all know how that works out. I find Assad credible, as do many 1st world governments, banks, and businesses that continue to deal with him.

You realize his intelligence services were responsible for assisting in the identifications of terrorists, hostages, and their respective locations for the past 3 years as well as bringing many to justice? His information on terrorists and terror is good enough when lives are on the line, but suddenly hes full of shit I guess because hes a dick-tator.

You realize Assad has been fighting terrorism and waging war against extremists for decades and might know a thing or two about these scumbags M.O.? Nm hes a dicktator I dun't liek him nemore. He's only been fighting terror and extremism his entire life in the most toxic region of the Middle East, but yeah what the fuck does he know man. He doesn't like, hold cheech and chong elections and stuff like Russia and the USA man. Man I really don't like that. What a dicktater.
I'm gonna poke the stupid bag and ask you which 1st world governments you are talking about.

This is a gotcha question because we both know it was inappropriate for me to use that term in the first place as it was created by the US, NATO, and its allies several decades ago for the purpose of the Cold War. I was using it colloquially.

I'm not going to list any developed or developing nations working with Assad because there is no point arguing semantics with a potential bigot.

By formal definition there are no 1st world governments working with, or indirectly allied with Assad in any way shape or form. There.

It was indeed a gotcha question, as in, you were talking out of your ass and I got ya.

The nations working with Assad are themselves authoritarian nations. He has bombed his own territory, created the worst refugee crisis in decades and employed chemical weapons against his own people.

Now if these things fail to move you, so be it. If you are ignorant of them, go do your homework.

People have certain tolerance levels. As with what happens in Paris etc there will be a breaking point eventually if it keeps on and the government continues to look weak.

Sweden decided for what ever poofta reasons to invite black muslims to live in their country.

Blacks dont not know how to rape and pillage its in their DNA.

So go figure.

For such a foward thinking country its kinda hard to excuse that they didnt have the foresight to see this happening.
