I don't have any particular issues with BDA, but I didn't think there was a statute of limitations on breaking a rule around here. There may have been 'tacit approval' up to this point, but now that it's been brought to their attention (if it hasn't before) then you should either receive expressed approval or denial. I was really disappointed when I learned the origin of <Taken>.

From my childhood, the Taken were a group of evil-ish wizards from the Glen Cook The Black Company series. It was the name of my guild in Ultima Online, and it was the name of the guild I joined way back pre-kunark.

I just assumed that the name of this guild was... taken from the books. To learn that it was chosen because the other names were all "taken" was a heartbreaking Sirkencast.

Barring A-Team and Homeland Security (isn't it Gnomeland Security?), isn't there quite a bit more ambiguity that could be argued for the others more so than BDA?

I think what gets people most fired-up about this is the inconsistency with enforcement. It all depends on who you are and who you know, or which staff member has a bug up their ass that day. I suppose that's the way real life works. Why should it be expected to be any different here?

If only they could turn theirs around, the BDA I met in 2010 were some of the nicest people on the box at the time.
