I'll bet it was Kobain, I think that's what his name was, he was a BDA AEr. That's actually how I had my first interaction with BDA- we were both in BW AEing separate halves of the zone, then he told me BDA was coming in to do Ixi and if I wanted to pull my epic mob they'd kill it for me. I was like, "but I heard on RNF that your guild was a bunch of cunts, this doesn't add up" and then they gave me an epic piece.
