tldr. im not buying this...booze worse then fucking herion and meth...no...just no...maybe based on people living 60+ years abusing alcohol and people who shoot dope tend to die alot sooner. but god damn, no.

Heroin, crack cocaine and methamphetamine, or crystal meth, were the most lethal to individuals... But overall, alcohol outranked all other substances... Experts said alcohol scored so high because it is so widely used and has devastating consequences not only for drinkers but for those around them... Alcohol damages nearly all organ systems... it is also connected to higher death rates and is involved in a greater percentage of crime than most other drugs, including heroin...

Experts said the study should prompt countries to reconsider how they classify drugs.

On another note there have been other studies recently that found people who drank heavily lived longer than those who don't. Don't care to find the studies.

Heroin will kill you hyper quick if you dose yourself wrong, it's less detrimental to society though because heroin junkies aren't the ones destroying shit they're usually tucked away in dark alleys or art studios and don't come out for days on end.
