Recycle 99 strat

Heck with the recycle, it needs to be a stand-alone server. Of course all of the uber items will be camped mostly 24/7 - I'm sure the same was true when this server was brought up, though I barely see any rubicite. (somehow belt/cloak are in though, which I didn't think came back until the cazic re-vamp)

I'm more curious about the patch time-line and what bugs will be allowed to stick around till officially fixed.

Untwinked warriors are the best. So much fun going out and hunting for your own gear, doing quests, etc.

Depended on the item. In the early days P1999 only had a small population. Manastones were camped pretty heavily, but not so heavily that the camp didn't open most days at some point or another**. I'd put it on par with something like FBSS nowdays. Guises rotted regularly and most everyone who wanted one, had one. I *didn't* care about getting one and ended up with one anyway simply because they rotted so often. Rubicite wasn't farmed heavily because CT was very broken and few people wanted to put up with the hassle of bothering with it. Also fine plate armor was available anyway.

**A lot of those early manastones were heavily farmed by cheaters and ended up going off the server due to various ban waves. some folks had bags full of them only to wind up banned. As such, while manastones still aren't particularly rare, they're not so common as folks might expect, either.

Green99 is an absolute certainty. Not sure what I'll play probably a chanter and embrace the suckiness that was pre-29 classic chanter ^^of course charm is infinitely more reliable and our animations infinitely more robust here than they were in 99.

ooo I forgot to even think about Enc. One of my first p99 characters was an Enc (Devnn), and I actually thought he was a beast, due to the pets being much more meaty, and whirling wind (is that the name?) having such a long stun. Pull with DoT, let mob hit me so pet goes it, cast whirl, and med til fight is over. It got nerfed eventually which made it so that i HAD to charm solo, which was still pretty OP, but nothing was as good as Whirl

There will be so many casters.... I will probably go with an ogre warrior.... never played one before.

Also, as to the "it won't be popular" mentality. You can box one on blue/red and one on green....

I am not so sure we'll see manastone, thex dagger, etc. locked down to the extent everyone is expecting. Maybe the first run through Green99 will be like that, but considering it will follow a classic timeline then wipe/reset, not sure anyone would care to invest that much time. Unless if course to export them off of Green to Blue or something D:

rogues without evade and using flaming rapiers and fine steel!?

mages having to use classic pets this time?

enchanters not having OP whirl AND charm this time?

I will not be going for the huge items, manastone etc. and I will not be concerned about raids or getting uber loot. I will just be trying to group up and level and have some fun. Won't even care about being max level. This is one server that for the most part I will probably have a bunch of alts under lvl 30 and no main. Probably roll a dwarf cleric or dwarf paladin. Group oriented classes for sure.

Unfortunately you are in the minority on this server.
