It's a bug person is in zone they can see you, but you can't see them happens very rarely but I have been the victim of it.

Basically that person got to annihilate you while you couldn't see, hit or target them.

this has actually happened to me several times, once it was the same person after we zoned 4 times which made my tinfoil hat go right on
