The iksar SK weapon quests are very time consuming, don't bother.

Has anyone mentioned Dreadscale yet?

A lot of these pieces are pretty easy to get as early as the high teens, and it's pretty decent gear for an iksar.

Also I hope you know what you're getting yourself into rolling an untwinked knight with a 68% exp penalty. After the novelty wears off it's a bit like having grapefruits jammed in ur pooper. Trust me, I've done it before.

Going through 54 as a dark elf SK at the moment. Bad enough at 40%, hats off to the lizards out there... if you can get 60 before they take out the hybrid penalty I think that's one of the highest accolades of this already hardcore leveling server [You must be logged in to view images. You, And I mean You as the OP have to decide that you are going to want to level, or spend tons of time making armor, doing quests, etc. etc.

You really can't do both. And both ways are a fun experience. But with a racial penalty, which you will have, even when Velious comes out, forever, it is one HELL of a Hard road to level 60. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.][You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

But I have said a ton of times, this game is Suppose to be fun, not a race to the top. But contradicting myself racing to the top can be damn rewarding also. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This game is based around what YOU want to do not what Bob, Jerry, Mary, me does. It is your toon, not mine.

I have tried over the past 16 years, I have played EQ, to do what you are saying probably 30 times or more I am sure. In the long run I have gave it up every time. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] But YMMV.

Are you willing, for a fair price, to buy equipment that you wouldn't be able to loot? If so, then an Iksar might be the easiest race to play, simply given the absurd levels of plat you can make from the get go, in comparison to other races.

It's been awhile, but I remember hitting level 15 and going to East Commons with a little under 1k in plat.

been doing journal entries over the course of the years trying this myself however with 1 small change. When my Iksar SK dies, he is dead...and must be restarted. I have gotten as far as level 46 with no outside help, unclicked any random buffs etc etc.

I am trying to achieve the almost impossible, getting to 60 with 0 deaths and on my own accord. Using a FD class helps, but i think the racial/class xp penalty offsets this perk

More and more I think I'm going to make my Iksar Warrior my main. This thread has a lot to do with that. I'm not going to go as far as not accepting hand outs, but I am going to avoid looking for them. If a passer by hands me some plat, or some gear then I'd gladly accept. But I'm not going to go asking with the Ikky.

Although I do enjoy the necro quite a bit, so it's kind of a tricky situation. Wish I could play both at the same time, but I can't, it's against the rules. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (which is fine, too, because boxing isn't my thing anyways lol)
