You can do 1-57ish without kunark p easy. Then join a guild which is right around the time you will want to either quit eq or fit in with the misfits.

For the answer, I think we have to look at the big picture. Many players on Red99 are looking ahead to Velious, where greater levels of loot will be available - but only to the guild(s) that can win in mass PvP and hold onto the mobs afterward. Because I want to have a chance at being a top player here, I want to make sure I'm part of a guild that has a chance at that loot. That means picking a guild I enjoy and believe in and working to make it as strong as possible.

I also would like to see a server where multiple guilds are on approximately equal footing in PvP (gear/levels/numbers), so you never know who's going to win and each side actually has to try their best. That means not having one huge dominant guild. Some will say that's optimistic or even impossible, but it's something to strive for. If you, too, want a balanced server, you had better weigh in on your chosen side's behalf by raiding and PvPing with them. But I digress.

These guilded players are not scared to group outside their guild; rather, they're focused on building up their allies and working to help their own guild progress so their characters will have a better future. Plus, you never know when some unguilded character is actually an alt of a rival guild that you are helping by exping with them.

If you want to raid, you'll probably have to pick a side. Once you do, your guildmates will see you as a wise investment. You'll have access to these guilded exp groups; and if you show up to raids, you'll get gear you can only get on raids.

And by the way, you're welcome in <Fresh>.

Fresh/curse seem like they have most people 50 - 60 so groups would be going often, CoM 45-55 Seb 55-60 just go there and look for a group

I'm in the same situation (mid 50's, no guild) and agree it can be tough to find a group, but have grouped with people from pretty much every guild. Which I think is more important in the long run than just getting to 60.

Sometimes just grabbing someone else that is looking for a group is enough to get things started.

50+ groups are kind like aborted's sig. The man is obviously trying really hard but something goes wrong and it just backfires.

Get a guild or GTFO is my advice

Yeah I don't understand why people who don't have a guild haven't joined Fresh yet?

I just joined p99 and by lurking on the forums and on reddit it was made very clear that Fresh is the leveling guild to be in and subsequently to raid with 50+. Literally joined it at level 5 and have been leveling like a fiend since.

Who wants to spend 40-50 levels alone only to join a guild with no one you know? Yeah.....you'll get raid gear with them. Sure you will....

If your unguilded and not a mouthbreather come join Fresh!

Getting groups sub-50 is easy, even without being in a guild.

Also, it isn't like you don't meet people while leveling 1-60. I've been unguilded for 56 levels and meet plenty of people in almost every guild. Also, I think it has given me some great unbiased experiences into how guilds recruit and even certain playstyles/attitudes that may or may not suit my own.

The other great thing is that the entire server is potentially your friend and enemy at the same time. Good times.

Yeah I guess I didn't mean to infer you'd be alone all the time but more so to drive in my point that being in a guild makes it vastly easier to be in groups at any given time. I literally cannot think of a time I've logged in and haven't had a guildie join me.

Not a single time. And I play everyday. (Yeah its unhealthy, I know.)

I think I'm just more of a guild person and I know not everyone is like that but it seems counter productive. The only drawback I could think of is if you had some aversion to guild chat and/or your guild chat is obnoxious.

Been in guilds like that so I get it but I really can't think of any true drawbacks. Only things to gain.
