Just returned and no Project 1999 Server up..

Okay, firstly you need to get rid of that patcher. We don't use it here anymore and if you do play on other servers and want to use if for supported ones then maybe consider a clean install and having a 2nd folder for P99.

Took me a while to find but I'll quote an old post of mine:-

1. Find your P99 folder
2. Find "eqgame.exe"
3. Create a shortcut for it (I put mine on the desktop)
4. Go to the shortcut, right click on it and select "Properties"

Something resembling this will appear (your folder path will likely be different to mine)..

Make sure to write patchme after the target. Apply the changes.

You can now use the shortcut to log in!... job done. No launcher required anymore! The only thing to be aware of is patch days, where you need to go to the News/Announcements forum and download the latest patch and unzip it to your EQ folder.

That's all you need to do to launch EQ...also make sure you go to your eqhost.txt and make sure you've got:-

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

You don't want your install pointing at the live servers etc.
