There would still be an economic system. Selling loot rights would just become more widespread.

you guys are aware the original FV ruleset was highly roleplay based and you couldn't group, guild, buff, or receive buffs from other characters not on your alignment

i can't wait to see their faces when they realize they can't even get an xp rez because the cleric isn't on your alignment
or their faces when they realize their caster can't even bind anywhere that a melee can't bind in it's funny how nobody actually understands how hardcore anti-social the FV ruleset was

No-Drop ruleset is essentially what EQ eventually midlife into and what every modern mmo is. It eliminates inflation by eliminating the economy, encourages poopsocking and discourages a number of other playstyles centered around a robust player driven economy. If this is implemented, might as well implement 100% instances content and put up leaderboards somewhere :/
Bad idea is bad idea :/ I would support a 100% traceable ruleset with though [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.], but restrict some quests by class.

I wouldn't expect a NODROP server to weed out the filth that plagues the server but rather make the playstyle less rewarding for them. I'm sure loot rights selling would be rampant but I would say if you didn't get the exp it's ffa.

Make everything No-Drop. Make Plat/Gold/Silver/Copper No-Trade. Remove MQ. Nerf Power-Leveling. Allow Level Appropriate Buffs Only. Trivial Loot Code. Exp Group gets the Loot. One Account Per Face Scan.

I think a lot of the magic came from being able to freely trade so many of the items. Compared to say WoW where nothing worth a damn could really be given felt very neutered and artificially walled in.
