Another thing is I actually have EQ live installed, could the files be overwriting each other possibly? I recopied my titanium folder which should be usable but the same issue is happening...which makes me think either live is overriding my p99 files, or something of the sort?

sidenote: whilst changing nothing, 1 in about 20 attempts works for logging in at server select.. the rest are usually booted immediately to desktop.

I also tried running it from eqgame.exe using the instructions from:

No changes [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

Chiming in to say I am also having this problem and making the eqclient.ini changes Magellan suggested did not solve the issue

Figured it out (thanks to a lot of help from the EQ live boards) I was having an odd time with my live install as well.

It's an AMD issue, quote:

It is not the necessarily 4.2ghz for AMD, it is the HT Frequency/FSB being higher than 200mhz. With Intel it runs find at 4.6ghz but then only the CPU multiplier is changed, whereas AMD uses both HT Frequency + CPU multiplier.

My FSB was set to 216, i underclocked (I think? I know absolutely nothing of OCing) it to 200 and I was able to get past the server selection screen. I crashed after it started to load but...progress...maybe underclocking it is causing ram issues?

One step at a time...

This is an issue with EQ's basic code, not the server or p99.

Unfortunately now when it's loading I get an error:

The instruction at 0x034932f0 referenced emory at 0x802ad4f7. The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

Maybe I broke it as well as fixed it? I assume this is a ram issue...and I'm thinking I underclocked my ram in the previous step?

I doubt it unless they all live on the same college campus as I do [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Kope, did you get a fix for "The instruction at 0x034932f0 referenced memory at 0x802ad4f7. The memory could not be read"

That's the error I now get
