HAHAHA I thought that was hilarious honestly
Also, game is absolutely fantastic. Definitely play it on Normal or Hard difficulty even though the game suggests playing on Easy even for "recently returning CRPG vets." I had to reroll about 10 hours because it was just WAY too easy on "Easy." Graphics are TOP NOTCH, absolutely amazing. Sound design as well as music also get an A+ as does the gameplay itself. Obsidian did a really good job of modernizing the CRPG experience and streamlining it, while allowing it to still feel like an old-school CRPG; they didn't "dumb it down" any, all the things they removed were basically the result of 2nd gen DnD rulesets that they used in BG/BG2. If anything I'd say they made the game more difficult, by adding the camping-supplies-requirement to rest. No more resting 4 or 5 times after every major fight to refill all your health and spells like you did in BG2 --- and let's be honest, we ALL did that!

about 20 hours in and the game is fantastic and difficult enough on normal. I do keep getting the sound bug (constant clicking) but its apparently due to be fixed in the upcoming patch.

Loving Pillars of Eternity so far. Playing thru on hard difficulty with expert mode and trial of iron enabled playing as a Paladin. From what I have seen of the game it is definitely a worthy successor to the Infinity Engine games.
Edit : Just read that shit about the "offensive" joke. I really wish everyone who so easily gets offended and has to make everything political would just be rounded up and executed, the world would be a better place.

The feigned outrage at what was obviously a light-hearted joke is pretty lol for sure.
This game is kicking major ass though, albeit I only have a few hours in atm. Definitely recommend buying this one though. I'm going to have to put it on the backburner for now unfortunately, until I make it through Divinity first.

Mann I tell ya, Hard difficulty just seemed way to easy for an Obsidian game, and here's why.....
https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/73...tended-values/ A totally GAMEBREAKING bug that you all most likely have on your current playthroughs: Basically say your Eder is level 4 with the "Wary Defender" modal talent which gives you +15/10/10/10 to all four of your defenses; every time you save/load in a city where a companion has been recruited all four of your defensives stats will be PERMANENTLY increased by that amount. Unfortunately, the same effect applies to any ITEM stat bonuses on your character's as well.

Thought I'll add:
Obsidian has PROMISED a patch THIS WEEK and I really hope they deliver on that. Pillars of Eternity is easily one of my top five games from the past 5 years and that's not nostalgia I only played Baldur's Gate 1/2 for the first time in the past year on my Nvidia Shield.

Yep they caved, not gonna give them my money now. Thankfully the game is completely DRM free.

actually obsidian approached the guy who wrote the poem what he wanted to do and he said to remove it.
also no one believes you were gonna spend your allowance money anyway, but grats on finding an excuse to self-righteous about your piracy game is great btw
