![]() I dunno. It looks like it has about as much forum support as Red does. How did Red come about?

![]() people interested in a wipe are welcome to delete their characters and/or start over with a new account. that's basically going to have the same effect considering that there will always be somebody with more play time (and ultimately higher level with more plat) than you, and mana stones will be perma-camped to the point where you wouldn't get one, anyway.
wipe it clean folks are just jelly.

![]() I would not be opposed to a second blue server though it's effect on this server's population could be a concern. However I would not be happy with a wipe given my limited play time and the corresponding timeline to get where I am. No thank you ^^

![]() Ya, I'm a big fan of the idea of a second server that wipes on a set schedule. Its not that I'd expect to win the race. But I would expect a lot of the most toxic personalities wouldn't bother hanging around after they beat the content. Plus minimal mudflation. And GM's could more readily wipe characters as a punishment, because they're all going down the drain eventually anyhow. Yes there'd still be assholes, but different assholes.
Maybe I'm doing this wrong. I need to get the RMT hoarders on board. Hey guys, just think of the exchange rate on wipe-server plat! And you could sell to the same customers again and again!

even if it was wiped, epics and fungis would already be the norm again before most people insisting on wiping could even create a character.

![]() People wanting a server wipe(at least originally), were never asking for it because of epics and fungis, or being butthurt about being late on the scene and not getting a manastone.
In the beginning, the crys for wipe were due to 2 years of exploits, cheats, and broken content. Let me explain just a fraction of what I'm referring to... 330(? -ish) accounts were SUSPENDED due to ShowEQ/MQ2 usage. To get caught, you needed to be using said cheats during the 3 weeks before that day. If you had been cheating for a year, but, took some time off during that period, you dodged the suspension. The 330 accounts that were suspended had all platinum deleted and lost 50% of their total exp.(level 60s were down to 54) Many saw this as less than a slap on the wrist, considering that almost everyone has more worth in gear, than they do in raw platinum, sometimes exceedingly so.(Whats 50k when you have hundreds of thousands worth of gear?) The GMs thought it would be too drastic to straight up ban 330 accounts without warning(Cheat = Ban, no warning needed), citing how it may negatively influence the population of the server. (they've banned over 1000 accounts now.. no? ...and server pop is at a high.) I'm not going to mention names, but at least 1 guild warned their cheaters to delete hacks before returning to P1999. Its my guess that at least 300 more accounts were deserving of suspension, but they had simply got tired of the game and were on break, or had prior knowledge of the suspensions. If you don't believe me, you didn't play prekunark. People were openly admitting to using these programs, to the point where it was extremely obvious and nobody cared. I could say more about ShowEQ/MQ2 usage, but I think thats enough to prove what I'm trying to get at. Maps/Compass/Target Rings/Blue Diamond Jewelry/Wu's Armor, ect. No biggy right?(Well, BD Jewelry is a biggy) None if it was classic. Yet everyone used them. Snare + Root being able to stack, full DoT damage when moving(right? its been a while), PCs needing to do 1 damage to get full exp. All have been changed. Cant even mention most bugs and exploits since they're not discussed, and only a fraction of p99'ers know about. I know that pets were bugged for an unknown amount of time to be twice as strong as normal(DPS, not health). I'm sure a lot of people know that raid mobs were being taken down by an entire guild right clicking Ivandyr's Hoop... to the point where the GMs had to step in and try to prevent it, and outright ban its use in VP. This is only the tip of the iceberg, I'm sure many people know of things that I dont, that are just as bad, or worse. There people who are genuine about a server wipe. All we want is a server where all of these steps have been taken before the server goes live. Doesn't have to be tomorrow, or next week, or next year... but there are people who want a legit classic experience, with minimal changes occurring after the server goes live. In no way am I dissing the GMs or the hierarchy of the server, I am just trying to put forward the real reason why "Wipe it clean" even came up in the first place. It certainly was never about fungi's, epics and manastones. It was always about being as classic as possible.(and keeping it classic, by not letting people exploit) To clarify, I dont want blue to be wiped, its way way too late. I just want a legit server. Teams99 will be the closest thing we've seen so far, so it'll have to do.
