Have never seen tile that looks like wood before and I worked for my dad's general contracting company for 3 years. Is that a southwest thing? Tile work can be frustrating if you don't have a wet saw depending on the layout of your floor. I really don't like using the hand held snap tile cutters because if you need to make a small incision it can break the tile p easily. Looks good though.

Brooklyn. Lots of mom and pops stores here that offer way better service then home depot. Lumber yards and tool shops abound - only have been to home depot a few times .

How does wood flooring hold up in NM? Does it crack/buckle with the heat?

not sure, NM is an odd place. never heard of swamp coolers and other shit til i moved here. The only reason I tolerate this place is because I can wear shorts all year round. I hate wearing pants.

tile is a fuckin BITCH to install. my knees and Back are fuckin killing me atm. hence why im on here and not working. the lady who lived here before us Carpeted the living shit out of the place. there was even carpet in the dining room and bathrooms. eventually we will probably get rid of all of it. i hate carpet more than anything but for now just doing kitchen/dining/living rooms and bathrooms next week.
