This argument is invalid. That's like saying "You shouldn't deem the guy who mugs you bad, because there are those out there that would murder your wife, violate your household pet, and sell your children as slave labor in an asian sweatshop". Weed is less severe sure, but unless you're writing lame ass indie rock songs or involved a hot-dog eating contest, you are better off at most general tasks sober rather than high.
