i am so baffled as to why 4chan is such a big fucking deal to anyone?! it is garbage. it is not worthy of existing. it is an orgy of people who circle jerk troll each other. i think 4chan and websites like it will contribute to a newly and profoundly fucked up generation of youth. theyre already addicted to technology and video games as it is, now we have desensitized them to everything from anime, porn, child pornography, extremely graphic violence, fetishes, snuff films, live stream suicide, drug use, hatred towards people just like themselves, self hatred, etc. Could there be a website more detrimental to young people? Of all the people i know in real life who are regular 4chan trolls(and casual users), NONE of them are capable of being normal in social situations. NONE. Not a single fucking one. its sad really. they are either overtly confident because they are constantly real life trolling people, or are way too scared of real human interaction to speak up or have a real conversation.
Should it be okay for adults? Sure. Fuck yea. Free speech, etc all the way. But dont think addiction to 4chan isnt some real shit, ive seen it, and it is far more dangerous than any damn drug ive ever done. At least drugs are social; fuck.
The fucked part is, how do you fix this problem? I honestly have no idea. I think it comes down to parenting, or something, idk. I don't think there should be ANY censorship on the internet, but i don't think kids should become regular users of a place like /b. Its just too much for a person without life experience and whom is impressionable to think that's how people act and behave int he real world, or even think its acceptable to communicate like that in other forms of digital communications.
