What does Velious offer to casual players?

• Epic goes from one of the hardest to one of the easiest with Triggerable VS every day with 2 stones and Triggerable Faydedar 3/4 months into Velious
• Snare+Root stacks 1 month into Velious
• New 60 and 55 heals 2 months into Velious
• Track Cap moved from 50->125, 3 months into Velious
• Forage will guarantee you foraging a food or drink 4 months into Velious IF you are hungry/thirsty.
• Egress castable indoors, Wind Ports castable from any zone occurs 6 months into Velious
• Druid quest BP has clicky Group Regrowth, never having to spend 600 mana again to get your group regen is huge
• Druid quest gloves has clicky level 49 DS. Perfect for PLing also useful for mana free DMG.
• Druids get two new Fire debuff lines that reduce AC, ATK and FR
• Druids get an indoor castable stun to interupt inside casters
• Druids get a bear pet which is useful as extra mana pool (with reclaim energy clicky) or per pulling)
• Cobalt Scar provides high level Quadding location for lazy druid play.
• Western Wastes provides fun area for charm kiting at high levels that used to be limited to dungeons.
• Sirens Grotto provides area for baller druids to duo/trio. Really gutsy druids may solo here... Very lucky or gear dependant to solo though.

I remember top end Druids, which I was not in that expansion, killing Lodizal pretty regularly Solo. Only say a Necro, Shaman and Druid that I know could do it. Not even too sure about the Nerco?? I think Enchanters were too Squishy and had too many resists to kill it often at the time. They sort of got a little bit Gimped in Velioius.

[Telin]

The above post definitely highlights what I think of as a Druid. Mid level quad kiting areas in iceclad and wastelands are great. Plus you get a waterfall to shower in!

....also all the xp penalties that go away... and general buffs to hybrids which are very fun classes to play, which causes a drastic decline in the population of Halfling druids lol

Depends on your definition of casual. It doesn't require a raid force to achieve.

Hundreds of hours of tradeskills and farming should not meet the definition of casual for anyone lol.
