Plat can be farmed on red at THREE TIMES the value of blue while you sell items in blue EC, look for ports, or are LFG. Red is better than gems, give it a try. You have 3 whole days to get a character up!

Play red so that you can get faster plat on blue, Nirgon says.
Play red so that you don't have to deal with EC tunnel anymore, red enthusiasts say.

Please stop. I have nothing against Red, in fact, I rather like it, but Nirgon, what you're trying to do is counterproductive to the community as a whole.
Would just like to say that thanks to Nirgon's propaganda posts, I actually played on Red. EXP has made it worth staying. Keep up the good fight Nirgon!

XP is very good, grouping is encouraged... its not some huge box of grief like you might first think. Give it a try, all you fencesitters <3

The problem with the "test Beta" is that they have given no clear direction as to what they want/need tested. Test what? Test server load? Test tradeskills? Test turn ins? Which ones? Post something? If so what and where?
Test PoM, it is the last zone to come out. If you don't know anything about PoM, check in the Velious forums about what you could test/any known issues. If all of that fails, go into a zone with no one in it and train the shit out of mobs, see if pathing looks like it is working right.

If none of that sounds like any fun, get a group or a raid and just go try and kill something that sounds like fun. If any bugs are still abound in whatever content you go smash they might rear their ugly heads and now you have yourself to pat on the back for helping to find/fix.

Cheers!

I hate PvP so much if I got into one encounter a month Red still wouldn't be worth my time. One of the reasons I stick to EQ is you don't NEED PvP for anything. When i go to any other game, BGs are super encouraged and needed for certain items etc. Hate it so much. Such a waste of time IMO.

I'm not big on pvp at all either. But I have found that the red server is just more fun than blue. I really thought it would be the opposite, but people are actually way more laid back on red than they are on blue. Seems weird, but its true.

Tried red last few days. Made it to level 6 then was camped by a twink named something like Sweatyvagina or Vaginasquirt that wouldn't leave CB zoneline. Guess they looted the 4p I had managed to save for spells.

Call LNS and don't zone back into CB. You can make plenty of plat/xp at orc hill at lvl 6.
