I get that but you don't seem to get that the people who care enough to twink a level 9 ranger for crushbone yt will just move their operation to the next available xp spot that gives yt. Only you'll have the crushbone, unrest and mm twinks sitting in said zone and you'll have newly leveled 46's with close to no pvp xp getting farmed for yt. Honestly doesn't affect me either way but I don't think you're considering everything.

Someone can get level 10+ in one session on this server. If they get harassed by a twink they are more likely to quit if it is there first log in rather than if they are already level 46+. By that time they understand PvP and also realize they can just push through those levels and be out of range soon anyways.

PvP has always existed on this server, even when there was no YT and exp penalty on death. You are assuming how things would be while the OP played during classic and knows PvP still happens with no YT. Do you think Gloinz, Chewie or Salem didn't PvP because there was no YT? They specialized in fucking with people in lower level zones just like the current twinks do today.

Ok, so then what would be the point of removing yt to 46+? Before yt, people just took screenshots. I doubt that they sat twinks at level 10 just to grief noobs.
Yt is a motivator and all that moving it to 46+ will do is concentrate more twinks in a level range.

I still think a one time activation of a yt switch is the best idea. Don't want to participate in getting or receiving yt? Don't activate the switch.

Would like to add a change to YT's though. It should be that you have to be lvl 10 to cause a YT or recieve a YT. No more of this lvl 9 killing a lvl 10 and getting a YT for it. Having people sit at lvl 9 with no fear of being YT'd is BS.

this kinda proves my point that griefers are only motivated by YT. im not trying to eliminate lower level pvp, im trying to eliminate griefing. people go the extra mile to insure they dont get YT'd. fuckin crazy.

The situation described by pikrib (lvl 9 grief on 10's) is actually more a product of YT beginning at a certain level - rather than beginning at lvl 1 like it should - than it is a product of YT not starting until 46.

If you moved the limit to 46, then there would just be lvl 45's with fungis doing the same thing, and probably doing it with more impunity since they're able to control the situation more effectively with a larger HP pool and more access to better gear/clickies etc. Not to mention the fact that it's easier to de-level a planar/epic alt to 45 than it is to delevel them to 9.

Samwise, you have to pvp on this server. I would hate to see these new people quit when they are 46 instead of at lvl 10. I wish everyone could stay and enjoy the pvp but if they can't get over being "humiliated" then maybe this server isn't for them.
