IMO the goblin ring was a lot more important before clickies reset the global cooldown. If you invised yourself you had to wait 2.25 seconds while your ex pet was beating on you. Now its just saves mana (and the time to mem the spell). Still nice, of course, but I would definitely go with a goblin earring + a bunch of int/cha/hp gear in some proportion rather than being naked with a goblin ring.

Level 1, Taper Enchantment will break most charms also, until pets have buffs on them.
Only 5 mana.
Until the dispell fix (which should be next patch). And that has a cast time.

The ring is the single most valuable item you will get IMO. Especially for under 6k.

Even if duoing, you will be breaking and killing pets. I've duoed my enchanter almost exclusively with a cleric. We are both 40 now, and still I'm finding it more efficient to just break pet and kill for exp. On tough room breaks I'll ask for a CH to my pet, purely out of safety. But most of the time it's faster for your duo partner to save mana to nuke kill pets and spot heal you when needed, and just break pets for exp.
yea i still agree, if you can get 200 cha this is the next thing to get no matter what. seriously dont worry about int.

Ok gonna try and get the ring somehow. I went the other way around and have 205 cha, 140ish int but no ring :-)

Rod of insidious glamour works here too and serves the purpose of getting cha up as well

Dispells should not have a guaranteed chance to remove an effect.

It should be a dice roll.

The quality and quantity of the roll(s) is(are) determined by the spell (and maybe the level of caster).

For example:

Taper Enchantment has 1 roll and has let's say... A 30% chance to remove a buff
Cancel Magic has 1 roll and has let's say... A 50% chance to remove a buff
Annul Magic has 2 rolls and has let's say... 70% chance to remove a buff on each roll (so it can remove 0-2)

Etc. I don't know the exact percentages but that's how it is supposed to work and I'm pretty sure that's how it's working on beta. Would need to investigate more though.

Yeah it's basically a crap shoot. Sometimes it takes the first thing in your buff slot, other times it'll take off the awesome HP buff you have buried behind a lot of garbage.

Makes fighting dot casters a lot more costly.

No it's actually the original classic dispel code. It's just a giant mess to program and has taken a while to research and figure out.
