I listened to Chest's split server idea. He should know people would join the split rotation server and form a hardcore guild there to avoid competing with TMO/IB. Then you won't have a rotation at all. You would still need a fix that makes all types of players happy.

Why are you so ignorant? The point of the split server was to have a raid scene in the same image as the class R rotation. Not rotating wouldn't be an option.

Nice. Someone uses common sense and you call them ignorant because you have none to apply. You still can't control everyone Chest. You move all Casual guilds to one server another hardcore guild will spring up there and compete for the mobs. No EQ server had a GM enforced rotation in classic. You aren't going to stop in this day and age Hardcore guilds from springing up. If you split the servers the new Hardcore guild to spring up will still choose what they think is the easiest target.

The staff has said repeatedly they would never enforce a rotation. You guys should literally listen to what the staff tells you guys repeatedly and try to make changes that everyone can agree to. Cucumbers laid down the best argument I heard in that stream and he spoke less than 5 minutes in the entire stream.

But if it had no account selling ect from the get go, it would be a vastly different scene. The "hardcore" (lol?) guilds of p99 would not have nearly the same impact without being able to accrue legions of alts beyond actually rolling and gearing them.

Hell just a clean box with no gm enforced anything, and no account selling for years on end would be radically different then p99. That's something everybody should like/want.

Folks might have to compete rather then just hedging against actual racing as much as possible.

Might even actually resemble classic.

If you *actually like competition, you should be working with the guy on this.

*obviously this is tongue and cheek since red is a barren wasteland.

I don't think C/R will ever get along enough for it to not a huge problem for the staff

This isn't a condemnation of either side, but would you not both be happier if you didn't have to interact with the other side at all?

Only obstacle remaining is the server names. I say each side gets to name the other. One final battle to achieve forumquest victory!

Show where we are hoarding anything over anyone ?? I want to see everyone participate more. I want to see a system that gets more people involved. Not one that is just a patch that only benefit's larger guilds or a half idea like Chest's that will never work long term.

Scarcity makes things valuable, and causes people to want things. Obtaining those things releases endorphines in the brain. When you place insurmountable barriers (rules) that drastically limits access to said things; it causes frustration, lowering the level of said endorphines.

I like playing games like EQ, because it is a sandbox with scarcity. WOW circumvented this with instances... I didn't like WOW.

I need you, Metallikus, to feel better about myself.
