Nah I didn't play Alpha I think Murda did. I had an invite code for closed beta I only paid 3 bucks for. The graphics defy description on this game. Open beta right around the corner, the game runs smooth as shit.

Being a pirate isn't like a "Guild" really. Sure you can make a guild but it couldn't run like anything we've seen on previous games.

When you reach 3000 Infamy from killing other player's of your own faction. You can become a Pirate. Your booted from your old guild, and faction. All world guards are now KOS to you. The only guards who like you are the guards on Pirate Island. You can no longer do dungeons. If you die anywhere but sea, or pirate island you go to jail.

All Pirates do is form raiding parties and rob people of their "packs" They have loaded on boats or mounts.

The game is a sandbox, you can get geared up multiple ways and no one is better than the other. You can get Honor gear, Tradeskill gear, or dungeon drop gear.

Yea being a pirate literally means dedicating yourself solely to pvp, that character would be locked out from alot of world content, although lvling is much faster on AA than EQ. So most Pirate toons would have non pirate alts to do other content with.

But there is allot of people here that only want to pvp all day all night. So I figured pirate faction might appeal to them. Anyone who enjoys blue content would not want to become a pirate.
