This sounds like pure genius, since unlike my idea yours doesnt require puppet strings -- and we all know simple and elegant solutions are the best.

Would be nice to watch it live, or at least screenshots/youtube.

That's pretty lame if you couldn't stick pyro. It's a -100 mod right?

Try using bloodpoints (or deadwood staves) for your pet's weapons, getting a haste mask (or tola robe) for him, buying him more time to DPS without taking hits by getting aggro yourself and just running away from golem in between summons, etc. Use harmshield to med while tanking him as he enrages to keep him facing away from pet. Stuff like that might be enough to win out with some good luck.
Very odd I land pyro easier than any other dot in bosses. Also nice work 50% is impressive!

Maybe something like this: gather a ton of tigers, run them past the Golem. They're fast, the Golem will chase them. Then spamming circlet of shadow to keep invis, run your mob of tigers and the Golem into the Scorp valley and Feign Death. Golem has no aggro on you, he should kill the tigers and then beat up the Scorpions.

While he is doing this, gate back to Rottgrime or Foreman, charm, run them out to Golem who hopefully will still be beating up Scorps and will have a couple thousand HP missing from all their annoying Harm Touches.
Bad news is that the Scorpions and the Cliff Golem are on the same faction. I like the approach though.
