Would be interesting if the contest involved only players 56 and over, but if you want to hand out plat to the people farming points by killing the same dozen victims over and over, I guess it is yours to spend. No 60 is going to be able to stack up numbers the way a 51 wiz or a 30 with an oggok cleaver will.

Would be nice, but no real way to automate the level tracking. If it were possible then higher level pvp would get more points based on their level.

This is where http://r99pvp.com is worlds superior. In our system, every time a player is killed, they become worth less points. Every time a player kills, they become worth more points. In Elderan's system, kills are worth discrete but insensible amounts. The fact that killing the last-place person on the leaderboard is still worth as much as killing the first-place person is absurd.

Beating the last place team in sports is still a win. Doesn't matter what their current standings are. Everyone has the equal chance to beat that last place person, it all balances in the end.

So far I like Elderans execution (minus manual manipulation people bring up) and website design and I like Jeremy's point system.

Would be nice to have a hybrid system implemented in game. The group running LoZ servers did it.

Having a leader board run by a player will always cause doubt, ridicule and countless threads being created flaming them.
