Sort of weird post-apocalyptic though, not actually fantasy fantasy of the game of thrones type

That movie was shit canned. One of the concept artists released a bunch of work that they were going to use if you want to see what it could've been though.

Haha dam, yeah it didn't sound too promising after a while heard the original movie version would have started in the second novel or something

Well, I like scifi movies like Dark City is one of the GOAT. I haven't read a scifi book since elementary school probably.

My bro mentioned reading
-The Stormlight Archive series
-and also Dark Force Rising series (star wars I guess) if I wanted to get out of high fantasy.

Must reads:

1. The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
2. (ASoIF) Game of Thrones by George R R Martin

If you get done with these and like them I would recommend more. the 4 dark tower and Wheel of time books were good but... The two I listed above are 10X better.

My favorite is the Fungus Comforts My Level 7 Alt: A Return to Bipolar Disorder.

You're enraged.

all of the R.A. Salavatore books are worth reading.

The Forgotten Realms Dark Elf Trilogy is more than just Drizzt. One of the best things is that the author is not afraid to kill off main characters through out the story line. In the end everyone dies.
