You are right no matter what you do. He gifted the BP to you, not lent according to your post. If you give it back you are a swell gent, if you keep it you have the right to do so since it is now your gear.

Vegemite and Greybeard are the same characters. Ive group with you before on Vege and you seemed pretty cool. I do not understand why you would make this a joke publicly and why you would make some guy who helped you out feel like a jerk. If someone gave me all these items and asked for something back in good faith. Come on man...don't turn a blind eye on someone who helped you big time.

We'll it's Sunday a week later. I see the server voted in favor to give the guy his bp back. Will this guy actually follow through?

Sounds like OP was hoping for a cop-out by getting the community to vote in his favor.

Time to reroll to an anon toon over an ikky bp amirite?

Picked up a BoH someone was ground xfering once and gave it back without hesitation despite needing the upgrade over my shitty sionachies. Guess some people can't handle the lure of the pixel tho.

that's a completely different scenario than one where a guy says "here have this item"

Then weeks/some time later says no I want it back.

I remember in live a friend had given me a really nice haste belt; it was my first haste item actually and I loved it, being a 2handed wielding shadowknight.

One day I logged in and the item was gone; he claimed ot have no knowledge of it. I petitioned the GMs and they had said thatat x time I had handed it over to his character. Dude logged into my acct and took it back.

Now we were best and still are really good friends, but I still hold that against him because you don't do shit like that.
