Luclin was the death of EQ. No fucking thanks. Beastlords were cool, that's about all that dogshit expansion had going for it.

Luclin had a couple cool memories for me. That invisible bridge in the deep was awesome, you always knew a guy would fall in.
Emperor Ssrhaeza would have ogres sitting at a hallway to block rival guilds from engaging the boss. Vex Thal had crazy loot...but somehow it was also crazy boring. I read in some other thread that people used to exploit that place by running on the ceiling and 3 manning raid bosses.

I agree with OP and Faerie. New server. Toned down luclin would be gr8 IMO. Kittens in space! P.S. wuld love legacy time line with luclin available from the start. (I.e. all timelines at once, trailing off into normal timeline)
Also, custom server with luclin content only might be pretty kewl. Luclin zones structure was nice and concise and smallerish world would be great. Especially pvp. All non kitten races can haz start up in shadowhaven. Norrath unlocks later :P Lots of big unused cities. Maybe evils can start in sanctus seru, goods in Katta Kastrum. OMG I'm all wet and warm feeling inside over this idea.

Luclin got a bad rap cause everyone had the wow disease when it came out, and the graphics update was a complete flop, and pvp players especially did not like the nexus. but from a pve standpoint it was fine. The zone itemization was fine too. end game raiders did not like having another VP to unlock. But w/e's there was plenty in the expansion that didn't require the month long quest to raid end game.
