What an enormous waste of time and money outside 59.

Yeah, I think we just weren't quite on the same page. I agree you can't do a decent pull in BW faster than a pull in chardok. What I was thinking is that a good bard in BW will earn more XP per hour for a PBAEer PLee (a LOT more) than a chardok group could earn per hour for a proxy... at least until 55 when so much of the zone is green/light blue and you can't probably kill wurms or giants anymore without low-hp kiting.
Yea true. But you must also consider... How many 50-60 bards are there on the server capable of such a pull/powerlevel, and how often are they accessible?

Then consider how many can do the cleric, puller, enchanter or out of group DPS role? And how often Proxy slots are up for sale?

I'd imagine convenience factors in quite a bit. You can AFK at entrance without having to worry about roamers or your invis dropping, really only need to check back every 2 hours when it's your cycle out. Etc.

Aphadavid is a beast in BW. If anyone is looking for a PL there, hit him up.

just an update for anyone that cares...

Traded PLing my buddies alt for 2 pulls in chardok.

Got 18% per pull at level 51. On both pulls there were about 125 merbs killed that i got EXP for.

Also, i have guildee's that will discount pulls to 1K per pull. So i might drop some coin, we'll see.

Eh... Grouping is pretty boring. Especially 6 person, tank/cleric/slower groups.

If your tank has taunt, you are pulling singles and you have a slower, I'd rather be AFK reading 50 shades of gray.

If your tank is an interesting class/pet, your pulling class is pulling enough mobs that your CC is having to keep up with multiple mezzes and roots, and you are struggling to stay alive, sign me up.

If there are more PCs in camp than NPCs, I'm probably gonna fall asleep and leave the group :/.

Depends why you're in the group. Always had fun in groups on live because group members were friends. If you're just in group to get experience / loot then should have rolled a solo class and farmed pp for gear, cause you'll level faster solo'ing.

Doesn't bother me if people are skipping levels to get to 60 so they can sit around LFG but its difficult to understand why you'd skip most of the game while reading 50 shades of gray...

Also could you really pull 100 mobs and aoe them on live in Kunark era. We were still doing raids in Chardok after Velious for epic mobs and we're pretty well geared from ToV and I don't recall anyone being able to do that?

Cause you want to raid on that class and don't have any interest in a 20 hour grind group to get half a level in Sebilis?

It's not like people buy chardok proxies and then quit the character when it hits 60. They aren't skipping anything that they don't want to skip.

Why is the concept of "everyone plays to have fun, but different things are fun to different people" so hard for so many of you to understand?
