all this raiding shit aside the other reason i am pro pvp is because i like to be immersed in my mmos. i also like reputation to matter and there be consequences for my actions. this is red. without immersion mmos are just a grindfest. sure some people love grinding but not me. im pretty blue when it comes to pvp too. rarely will i attack anyone without a reason and generally i am helpful. pvp enables me to play the game how I want to play. blue99 is far too restrictive when it comes to player interaction. impossible to RP on blue, i mean why cant i attack that necromancer that is assaulting deputy budo in misty thicket?

I will defend the shire in this life or the next.

didnt TMO run blue99 for 2 years and IB before that? there was nothing anyone could do about it except rule lawyer. you bring up wow but honestly that makes no sense because everything is instanced. not one side can block the other from content unless they figure out a way to hack into anothers instance (would be cool.) the accessability of epics via one guild running an MQ operation speaks volumes about how oppressive blue99 can be.
No one could do anything due to their raid force size, if you wanted to raid/see end game content you could try to join them or you had no option.

I brought up WoW thinking of PvP servers and certain pve things. There are Horde dominated servers where you cant quest worth a damn without getting ganked without remorse. No alliance could level via quests and they moved onto other servers

Even on PvE servers Alliance dominated servers Horde couldnt muster up 10 people to raid sometimes, and the Horde moved on to greener pastures

Here, with Red small population you have two options, to spam Blue forums/EC to get people to play with you, or come to Blue. Red people constantly spam, recruit and convince people to come to them... but them needs to come to... us. The greener pasture, the place you want, the place you need, the place you crave. Come to where people are, come to the place you know. You say you hate waiting for camps, you say you hate waiting for raid targets, you say you hate waiting wait waiting waiting.. but what you really hate is being alone. Come, join us.

pretty much any game but especially mmos without pvp are unplayable and meaningless.

Sometimes, things need to die. Blue99 is doing fantastic and has been for years without the aid of gimmicks, spam and dev/gm intervention. The Red server has been struggling for years and years and years... its like keeping an old dog alive just because you love it when you know its best years are behind it and its just suffering.

Let go.
Yeah no gimmicks or intervention at all, like when your server crashed and the GMs instantly shut down Red and used its hardware so you could still farm pixels.

If the GMs/Devs cared about Red as much as Blue you guys would have 200-400 people tops.

Reasons red server > blue:
  • Variance
  • Over Populated
  • Economy is Fucked
  • Over Abundance of Items and Money
  • Kunark has been out for a decade
