The RMT was selfish, but no more selfish than 98% of P99ers would have been if they were in his shoes. If more than a handful of you could say, honestly, "Well, I'm 110% fed up with p99 and I intend to quit... and instead of making several thousand dollars by RMTing my vast ingame riches, I'm just going to quit/give away stuff/whatever" ... I'd be shocked.

But you can't say that he "used" any of us in A-Team. It's not like he was farming king with us for ages and not splitting the plat evenly. If anything he probably should have been entitled to more than 50%, since he was usually the one who checked on the camp constantly in order for us to get it in the first place and was willing/able to play different classes to make the duo work, etc. And as far as farming something for plat being greedy? Please. The steady farming of king 18+ hours a day for a year+ is the only reason anyone OTHER than someone like Nord or Greeny or Jeremy could even afford a tunic. And the vast majority of the people who fall into the "i want a fungi but i won't/can't buy one" group were never even online to even try the camp (let alone online AND able to put together a capable group for the camp) most of the time we were farming king.

I'm not saying that I approve of RMT, or that I wouldn't have been excited if he'd given away the fungus staff to someone in A-Team instead of selling it to Zeelot, or whatever. I'm just saying you guys who get all bent out of shape in every way imaginable over something like this need to step back for a bit of perspective.

That's idiotic and you're an idiot.

The dipshit RMTing needs perspective. He's the one who feels he needs to be compensated for his time spent PLAYING A VIDEO GAME.

This isn't a virtual piggy-bank. It's a leisurely pastime. Quit treating it like your life.

Yeah. I'm the one who is taking this too seriously.

Like I said, I'm not approving of RMT. But he's banned, and the people who bought his stuff are banned. Granted, it must suck for the staff to have to spend much of their time dealing with this stuff. But, despite what you might think, Nord isn't going to end up in the 9th circle of hell next to Judas, Brutus, and Cassius because he RMTed plat on P99.

Not what I was implying, although honestly -- this game is pretty much your whole life, right? I guess if the shoe fits....

I was actually referring to those who can justify cashing-out because they have "invested" so much time. It's like going to see a movie and then trying to sell your leftover popcorn to someone in the lobby on your way out. Because dammit, you suffered through that entertainment and now you deserve something!

If you feel this way, you need perspective. And probably a job.

You didn't imply anything. You outright said that I needed to quit treating p99 like my life, despite the fact that I'm just here having fun on my own terms while you're the one going berserk on the forums with RL attacks and moral condemnation and other ridiculous judgments because of all this.

Your analogy is a bit off, anyways. This is more like you collecting leftover popcorn inside the theatre before you leave because you enjoy doing that in and of itself, and then when you leave the theatre and wonder wtf you're going to do with all that popcorn, you realize that there are people lined up waiting to pay you for it.

Ok, we get it. You aint mad at him, you understand his actions. You are turning at those who are mad at him...probably because you are gonna do the same when you decide to quit . Greedy fucks who need to hoard houndreds 1000s of pp, farming shit out of everything ruin this game. Fucking money grabbers.....goback to soloing hs south, collect more plat u dont need so u can rmt it later

Well that's not true... granted it's probably the majority that would sell it, but I had 3 RL friend's who have quit over the years and all 3 logged on and gave their stuff away in EC and I can think of a ton of instances of random people doing the same. 98% my ass... lets go with 75? ;p

When I said 98% of people in Nord's position would RMT, I didn't mean 98% of people who quit would RMT. I meant 98% of people who quit while having 10 million plat of wealth on the server would RMT.

Fortunately for the people still playing and the staff, probably only like 5 people on the server have that much money, so they are easy to keep tabs on! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
