Lol, crazy poor examples. WoW especially isn't going any where. With just people that I work with, 3 of them are waiting for that WoW expansion so they can play again and not have to deal with all the bull shit before the end game. Though they and I are planning to take advantage of the instant level so we can hop straight in to end game PvP.

The devs here dont want to run a shitty game where you can pay to win and they wont. Why there is even people debating this is beyond me. There are plenty of pay to win games out there to get your game genie fix. P99 is as legit of an mmo experience you can get nowadays and no amount of terrible arguments for RMT will change that.

RMT is classic as fuck, bro. Lol, and EverQuest is by no means a 'Pay to Win' game, haha.

It's ludicrous that any of you would even say that. You can be twink as hell in this game and still have just as hard of a time as anyone else. How do I know this? Because when I started here I had nothing, leveled my characters up to mid 30's to quest for their class armor with nothing other than bronze armor, then decided to buy a small amount of plat to help speed up this process with other characters. Turns out that having above avg gear for low levels doesn't help out as much as you haters are making it seem. How do I know this? Because I have done the grind with and without good items.

Shit is still the same, either way. The only difference is that RMT eases the pain slightly.

There are a lot of reasons that I don't like RMT, but none of that matters to people who RMT. So instead of listing reasons that I think RMT is bad, I will give just one reason that I think should be pretty obvious.

They keep the server running and RMT is one of the things that could get the server shut down. Plain and simple.

99% of the people have already experienced the grind to max level, and this expansion isn't going to prevent new players from experiencing the grind them selves. At this point in WoW's life nearly every player has a minimum of one alt that is max level. WoW is about the End Game, and always has been as far as I have understood and that's certainly not changing now. People want to get to the end and not have to rerun through all the quest boxes that they have already done.

I see RMT as an inevitable evil. As soon as people place a value on something, then market forces will determine some sort of exchange rate. Of course it is going to happen and will continue to happen.

But, just as money laundering is illegal in the real world, RMT is illegal here. Nobody is going to stop you from doing it, but you sign up for the consequences as soon as you do.

How so?

By getting your characters banned? Removing the ones which were too difficult for you to play without cheating?
