Bump, getting this like once per kite in BW on my wiz.
No water or messy hill Z axis, either. Thought it'd be the fallen logs, but getting it at nearly flat ground, too. Can't really figure out a patterns here.

Can confirm, happens multiple times a day when quadding anything with my druid. I cast, lose mana, no damage/message at all

Happened to my friend in OOT while quading Seafury Cyclops'. Using level 49 Druid spell Lightning Blast, and he's had it happen 4 times in a row.

Bump. Some guy theorycrafted that it's caused by server desyncing mob position or somecrap and the Z axis goes iffy. I srsly dunno since getting this on perfectly good visual of the mobs, like where Im at higher altitude where I should never not be in "cant see target"-situation with the mobs chasing me.

Looking at code for this. I think its because a mob does not update its z pos all the time when moving. So when the target'd AE hits, the mobs z might be still scaling between points. Rather than updating actual z.
Will see if i can force a position update in there somewhere, to make sure the z is correct when it hits. Might fix it. H
