This is not a rant or a flame, it is a serious comment on how people insist on playing this game. More XP does not mean more fun, but perhaps I didn't make that clear.

I have spent many nights fighting with many of you but in the end only one thing is true, you are desperate for xp and nothing else matters. No matter how boring, or how pointless, the camp may be... you are happy to sit there if you gain xp.

I have spent my nights searching for people who would like a little excitement in their lives, and so far I have found none. Everyone wants to sit in the one spot killing the same mobs over and over, and for what?? Just so you can reach level 50?? That is a pathetic goal when the game provides so much excitement if you are only will to risk it.

Very rarely I have managed to temp a few a you away from your safe camps but what do I find??... one death and you disappear no longer online... that is nothing but cowardice.

Are you all so self obsessed that lvl 50 is all that you care about?
Couldn't agree more. Thats why i solo more than group. Camp humping gets old fast. Eq back in the day for me was about the exploration. Fighting new and fucked up shit to kill/die to.

You realize that most people playing here have already been to every dungeon around multiple times right?

"Yay, paw...ok this is exciting!...ehh...not really. Lets go back to guk and get this over with so we can spend more time harassing female woodelves"

Sometimes people need a little prod to consider playing outside the box, in the end that is all I was trying to do and perhaps it succeeded a little, if the responses are anything to go by. Do what you will, I will too and maybe you will join me. There is little to loose and a lot to gain.

@ the OP:

I see where you're coming from, but at least consider that many of us did not miss out on the quest/exploration aspect of EQ the first time around. I'm positive that when I say the "game begins for me at level 50" someone will retort "What game?! Poopsocking?!". However, no.

We cruised 1-50 in 11 days played solely to begin farming/gearing to build up a bank account and our mana pools to handle soloing in Kunark.
