You're not just in Maine, you're on the fringe of civilization. A little more north and west and there ain't no one around. You ever go to chickenfest?

It was a balmy 35 degrees in Spokane,wa today.

Never understood why anyone would choose to in the NE. Worse winters than we have...and no mountains to enjoy all that winter. lose/lose

I lived in Spokane for 6 years. Remember the ice storm of 1996? Friend of mine lost power and didn't get it back for like 3 weeks due to all the broken tree limbs bringing down power lines.

I still miss Spokane. Had some good times there and I loved the climate. I wanna go home to WA. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I too live in Maine, in Buckfield which is close-ish to Auburn and South Paris. I live in a really big, really old house that has awful heating and it's been pretty terrible as of late.

Does anyone else find themselves wishing for summer when it's winter time and vice versa?

I'm glad we got an expert in the thread to confirm that they are in fact not mountains though. I'm sure he has a good view of McKinley from his back porch!

P.S. Snow and winter rock.

Upstate NY.

I never really got into the attitude of thinking that I'm better than someone who lives in a place that doesn't have shit weather. If I had the money to move to California I'd do it tomorrow. It fucking sucks here.

Some of the weirdest people I've ever met were from CA. Too much nice weather might be a bad thing. /nods
