most spell mechanics and in special guards and root where changed long time ago jesus ...

You would have to try a few snares on town front/in town guards to kill during early pure classic. Root just plain old broke like crazy. Even still, they were very resistant and root/nuking or root rotting them didn't work.

That's all we can do to prove this one.

Because their lvl , its the same about how hard was for bards to deal with stuff like fire giants .
and thats one of the reasons kunark guards where not exactly a joke as they where in vanilla they all benefeit of the tweaks they did to guards.

Eh I just remember high level druids kiting troll town front guards prebuff very clearly. Took them several ensnares before one would land and they only used drones line (also pre dot nerf, so this is EARLY).

Honestly when these freeport in town guards don't resist anything cast on them at all (almost literally), that's where I raise the "not classic" flag and hope they at least get a bump.
