Andis, wouldn't you like to PVP more people? There would be more people to PVP on this server if people didn't quit @ level 3 due to the OOC spam of "NO U!"

Only the trolls like it. A cooldown would make it much easier to police. Coming from a new player i keep it closed 90% of the time because it's rediculous. Also doesn't reflect well on server because most people in game are more respectable

OOC is out of control but I do like having it. Honestly a time limit, handing out suspension or ban for especially egregious RL attacks, racial slurs or homophobic BS would go a long way. I sure hope there aren't any actual gay people seeing this shit that spewed forth on forums or in OOC. Sad part is it's all about the epeen and I doubt any of you are actually homophobic or racist and people just think it's funny. IMO should not be allowed to fly in global channels and should result in account suspension. On live anything of the sort resulted in 7 day suspension and ban for repeated offenses. Wouldn't take many bans for people to get the message.
Agree about it not deterring the hardcore pvpers but it definitely hurts reputation of sever and kills the enjoyability for a lot of people. I made a char on here over 1.5 years ago but it took eqmac shutdown (and HB inspirational posts) to get me to soldier past all the BS on the forums and hate in OOC. What I found is it is actually a pretty fun server but I see why most people never get to see that part. If you want more bluebies to pick on, clean up the act. | ||

Saw some opinions before, I would not mind a time limit per ooc message. Or ooc removed, and auction added for item sale/trades only with a timer as to how often you can send it. Or simply ooc, one message allowed every 5 minutes maybe? Might lead to some very long single messages, but at least it wont be as retarded as it currently is. The other night, There was literally so much ooc spam nonsense you had to make the chat box half the screen just to keep up.
HOWEVER those saying they are leaving or quitting the server DUE to reading 30 mins of ooc spam/trolling/craziness good riddance. This server isn't for you in the first place, Glad you got weeded out early go rush back to the safety of blue. You would've never made it to 50 let alone 60. | ||

People not wanting to see players getting called < insert homophobic slur> or < insert racial slur> Or <insert religious slur> at every turn has nothing to do with their ability to withstand grief, fight back or level in Everquest. You guys act like you weren't super nerds getting picked on 24/7 in every social situation in real life. Instead of perpetuating the cycle and repeating everything you get called in real life while hiding behind your computer monitor why not try being honorable white knights. Honestly some of the coolest/smartest people I've had the pleasure of knowing are social outcasts, nerds, non white, non straight, people that are just more comfortable online than in real life. Eq is a community to foster this kind socialization and jf you are fortunate enough to be a "baller" in real life why make people who already deal with enough issues in RL also have to face them in a 14 year old elf simulator that is supposed to an escape from all the RL BS.
