People trolling probably don't belong in a beta test. You're not looking at the finished product etc.

I'm fully aware what to expect from a beta, and at the same time you can't go overboard with letting it gut your standards and expectations.

Technical issues, poor tuning, and unfinished content aside, a beta should function as a proof of concept. At this point in development, they aren't going to uproot and rework large swathes of the game's mechanics and fundamental concepts.

Having participated in beta, I'm ambivalent about this game. The class system and world pvp mechanics did leave me with a sense of wonder and novelty, but the world itself, the art design (design, not graphics), social interaction mechanics, phasing, pacing, and story left me feeling disappointed and bored.

I very much want this game to succeed, but I don't think it's going to greatly appeal to me unless they make lots of very good choices in the next 4 months.

I don't think anyone's claiming TESO will be buggy, just that it will be the same generic MMO crap. Just as Realms Reborn from beta to launch remained a generic theme park michael bay McMMO.

Floor's still open for someone to eventually make an MMO that's actually new.

When is an MMORPG not an MMORPG? What would you change that would make something truly innovative/immersive and set it apart from the current ones?

Yea..the graphical quality is the best ive ever seen, like James Cameron quality. And the fact that they are building VR right into it...that is pretty damn exciting.
