If you no longer allow account trades, why do you allow server plat trades?

This needs a GM response... thinking about trading plat from server a to b if I get scammed will GM's restore lost plat items? Or bring back account trading selling please. Can I sell an account for plat? What is the difference liquidating droppables and moving to another server where you did not kill a single rat? Fair to new players? Either server should be scratch non of this moving your assets from blue to red or red to blue.

Unfortunately, there's nothing stopping people from multiple toons in the emu setup. Things you might try (IP logging and such) simply raise the bar a bit and (mostly) affect only the stupid and the unmotivated. Of course, multi-accounting would be 100% classic Firiona Vie...

Having multiple accounts wouldn't make any difference here. You're not allowed to two box, having multiple accounts wouldn't do anyone any good unless they were going to break the rules. Personally I think that would be a great way to run a P99 server, FV rules.

It wouldn't circumvent the p99 rules, but it would circumvent the FV ruleset. Idea behind it was that you were stuck with one toon, so your rep mattered etc.


I never liked the 1 toon limit...I had a 2nd account that I deleted ~ 25 lvl 20 twinks off of cause I couldn't make another toon on the account lol.

Exactly. The FV ruleset was supposedly intended to prevent alts, thereby making character reputation matter and also preventing twinking which is anathema to many online RPers. Cynics will say (I am a cynic on this topic) that the ruleset was really intended to generate additional subscription revenue as players who wanted to use the near absence of the NODROP tag to twink in ways they could not on regular servers would have to pay for multiple accounts.

Also, I heard more accusations of RMT regarding Firiona Vie server than all other EQLive servers combined. Just my perception of things back in the day, of course.

I have over 1 million plat on EZ server, can I trade it for blue or red plat, what about accounts. Its the same emulator just a different server, same goes for blue, its the same mechanics dev owners but another server.

Make it bannable or fix the current state and allow account trading like you did for many years. There is not much of a difference here, pixels are pixels, the risk and the reward and the scams are still plausible. What is the staff take on this?

WTT plat on red for stuff on ez server or trade stuff on ez server for stuff on blue. Also have some pvp tokens on CB box will trade for pixels anywhere.

Its not allowed, but if you found an interested friend I'm sure it would be doable... you just can't advertise it.
