any chance you guys can figure out a way to to fix the minor illusion bug? its stickyed on the pvp issues board i think, would be cool to be able to really utilize the enchanter class to the max in pvp
used to minor illusion as one of the fire pots at felwithe ent in gfay and own outrageous numbers of confused individuals.

So, how does one find out about these changes before they happen? Nizzar seems to have the inside scoop but I can't find confirmation of these changes anywhere. Some kind of... favoritism?
Fairly sure a lot of these items were consolidated for the pvp dev in threads like http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...d.php?t=116787 which parallel's Nizzar's inside information pretty closely. If you read /ooc and bug forums, those also might give some inkling of what's coming.

But yeah, the word on the street since Teams99 was announced was that they were going to:
1) Fix mechanics
2) Tweak resists
3) Code teams.

But even if Nilbog posted the patch notes early, that wont make the patch happen any faster. Would just make everyone angstier the longer it takes (kinda like this thread. Rabble rabble.)

Oh little emo boy if only you were old enough to play live, I come from a world where Lure was my draught and 95% of my spells would not land on anyone.

Was still ranked high as fuck and people there actually wanted to pvp they didn't gate the minute I entered zone or stay huddled in raid group's 24/7 like yourself.

No actually it won't, what people don't realize is what this patch is gonna do!

You cant introduce a patch like this after the server has been out for 2 years.

And then pick and choose what you'll keep from classic and what you won't.

Introducing resist's will make VP geared player's untouchable in pvp by caster's, and the fact that everyone and their grandma has a fungi won't help.

Then there not going to add jboot spell refresh which was also classic and Melee's will become god's while caster's get flushed down the toilet, atleast wizard's have lures but every other casters gonna be worthless vs high resist geared melee.

This patch is gonna make Nihilum a lot stronger and only nerf their instant clicks. That's why Nizzar is so happy about it!

Which makes fight last longer and longer fights makes the really good people shine over the scrubs that just sat there drooling hitting their wildfire/draughts hotkey getting kills.

Sure geared people will do better than non-geared people -- Thats everquest for you folks.

Classic resists means you dont have to wear 20/21 pieces of MR gear just to not get rooted, which is quite an improvement. You can wear more HP/MANA gear and get away with it.

Current resist system favors zergy pvp. In classic resists, if you got 6 good people you can kill 12-15 other scrubs easily and that is something I enjoyed about classic everquest. This is not possible with current resists.

TL[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]R Better players will love classic resists while scrubs that were drooling over their keyboard are gonna be PVP leaderboard fodder.

There's so much negativity on these forums that anything slightly positive that will happen to these servers is worth announcing and getting angsty over.

Whoever is the pvp dev should take great pride in all these fixes that are gonna be in the next patch :P They were all really needed.
