Red99 pop wouldn't do it. But thats a pop of 80-100 people. This server aint gonna be like Red99 brah. Old schoolers be coming out of the woodworks to show you how its done. You'd be surprised what hard coded teams can do to your mentality to protect your zones. It opens up a whole new meta. But I understand its hard to see if you've never played it.

Hint: Teams PvP is a completely different dynamic than FFA PvP on a mostly empty server.

PvP on Red is like being in a gang. If you don't have friends who've got your back, you're fucked. PvP on a teams server is like being in a war. You have known allies and enemies, and each team exercises control over certain zones. If you fail to protect those zones, your team suffers.

Because a team that takes care of its leveling zones will have a significant advantage in player retention over one that doesn't. You let your newbs get griefed off the box and you will have zero backup when the other teams start to steamroll you, and will have no lower level feeder guilds to recruit new raid-level players from.

And yeah evil would dominate without the fixes I suggested in my thread. Those changes would do a lot to address the natural imbalance.

Too many people are basically imagining the Red server with a Teams ruleset. That's the problem. The reality is that the environment created on a fresh server with a Teams ruleset would be totally different from Red. There are plenty of Blue players and currently inactive players who would roll on Teams and would have no problem competing against Nihilum in both PvP and PvE.

If you try to play on a Teams server the way you play on Red (basically with total self-interest, or guild-interest at best) you will be screwing yourself over. When you have two enemy teams hardcoded to be KOS to you, you need all the backup you can get.
