Bought the Prima guide for the original, but then realized it was completely stupid to buy a paper manual for a MMO.
Made a great bathroom reader though, I passed a lot of feces while reading that strategy guide.

Everquestraids.con, eqprices.com, eqcastersrealm.com, allakhazam.com. and more were all websites that were used and available during Clasic through Velious. The wiki just combines all of the knowledge and is more accurate. There is no reason at all to leave the wiki down. Most people know where everything drops and how much everything goes for that costs 1kpp+. If the wiki were left down it would only be hurting those people new to P99 and those that did not play Classic through Velious, for the rest of us it just helps us sort through our own brains quicker.

Actually the wiki is notorious for having NPCs that aren't supposed to be in yet, or for giving wrong locs about them -- Or even giving misinformation in regards to quests.

Just because you can copy & paste, that suddenly doesn't make you "more accurate".

This ^^ We had many websites to sift at back in the day. The wiki is just condensed.

So hilarious that you guys think there were no 'outside the game' resources available in 1999. Yeah, the web existed then and we had allakhazam and various web forums.

OP, you seem to suggest all of these sweeping changes and for some of us, hearing these proposals from a level 20 seems so pointless. At least put in some time actually playing on the server and experiencing the game past 20 before you make all these suggestions and your suggestions may be better received.

I still have several....The original guide, the Kunark one, the "revised and expanded" Kunark one, the one from Luclin, PoP, and the Atlas.

Reminds me I still need to get ahold of the 10 year hardcover.
