It came up in conversation because I mentioned I was writing a paper on analyzing Beowulf on Joseph Campbell's Monomyth theory (The Hero's Journey).

I don't really remember how the difference between old, middle, and modern English emerged though. I minored in English in college and am getting a teaching license in English right now, hence the conversation.

Was gonna say it could be a titanium client thing where the client lets you go higher but its actually capped however this is just speculation as I seem to remember there being some skills where this was true at one point or another.
