LoL I didnt even have a Sega Genesis! I used to go to a friends house and play general chaos every day until the whole "Does this parents own parents ever feed him" speech came along and then sadly it was over. But also a Little correction to my PS1 game. WU-TANG! If you have never played the Wu-Tang fighting game for PS1 buy a playstation, buy the game and play it, seriously the best fighting game ever made imo.

Wow this is way way too hard to narrow down to a single game for each console - So I had to condense to my top picks, having been a gamer from the age of 3 or 4 yrs old to present throughout all those influential years of growth and self discovery!

Atari: Original Super Mario with Luigi - Stealth Fighter where you had to land the plane - (It was so hard I used to crash every time: but I remember landing successfully once and being like WHOA...that was amazing!) So hard to recall these games.

NES: Simon's Quest, Zelda & Original Mario Bros, Megaman 3, Gauntlet, Contra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Sega: Sonic (All of them), Echo the Dolphin - I know theres more but I can't remember!

N64: Goldeneye / Starfox / Super Mario 64

Playstation: Xenogears / FF7 / FFTactics - three way tie. Followed by Metal Gear Solid 1, Resident Evil (1 and 2), Legacy of Kain 1, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Parasite Eve 1 & 2 - Twisted Metal 2 (was quite epic multiplayer). Herc's Adventures (was strangely humor-filled addictive and fun to play Action RPG with multiplayer support for a friend).

GameCube: Resident Evil 4 / Eternal Darkness

Playstation 2: Metal Gear Solid 3, Final Fantasy X - Resident Evil: Code Veronica.

Xbox: Halo... Some Desert Storm game with a character who looked like Sadam but was named something else for legal reasons.

Wii: Super Smash, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Anything with Kirby.

Nintendo DS: Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, FFTactics a2, Final Fantasy 4, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Chronotrigger (ya I waited along time to play through this one) - New Super Mario Bros.

Arcade: Turtles in Time, Rampage, all the other ones I wanted to play at my childhood birthday parties for free.

Old School PC Favs: Jill of the Jungle. Midnight Rescue, Oregon Trail.
Middle School PC Favs: Castle Wolfenstein, Duke 3D, Zork, Clock Tower (Wow this game was hard)
Newer but still semi recent by comparison PC Favs: Ultima Online, EverQuest, Counter-Strike, Neverwinter Nights, Diablo 1 and 2.

Newest School: World of Warcraft, Neverwinter Nights 2, Dragon Age Origins, Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4. Fallout 3, Dead Space, Torchlight - Starcraft 2 Beta, Diablo 3 Demo.

Coleco Vision: Cannot remember the name, maybe Jail Break? prisoner running from guards, I was like 5 years old and the system was a hand me down... cannot remember if Burger Time was this system or Atari, but that might be my choice too

Nintendo: Legend of Kage (best game EVER!!!)... megaman 2/double dragon rocked too

Genesis: hmm... probably Contra Hard Corps

Super Nintendo: Super Street Fighter II (turbo maybe?)

Arcade: Goldenaxe (maybe I, II... no idea which one it was... maybe III!)

Sega Saturn: Virtua Fighter 2

N64: Goldeneye, anyone who says otherwise has no soul

Playstation: Tenchu Stealth Asssassins (SUCH a cool game idea!, too hard sometimes)

PS2: Kengo (sweet poorly known about game, basically train a Samurai for one on one duels) made my friend with the PS2 rent it like 5 times haha

PC: EQ players please don't hate me: Diablo... the original "tap tap splurt" when killing monsters and the whole aura (awesome dungeon feel and music, the pounding drums when you reach the caves at dungeon level 9 with the acid beasts and lightning throwing maelstroms and molten throwing rock dudes is THE best "feeling" in video game history in my opinion, that game had more character than any game I think) to the game outshined EQ for me... although EQ had so much more playability... Diablo got too repetitive, also broke a mouse clicking so much haha

Naming just one game is too hard for a lot of systems.

TRS-80 - Space Invaders

Atari 2600 - Frogger

Nintendo Entertainment System - Final Fantasy & Zelda

Sega Master System - Phantasy Star

Super Nintendo - F-Zero

Sega Genesis - Sonic the Hedgehog

Sony Playstation - Gran Turismo 1 & 2, & Final Fantasy 7

Sony Playstation 2 - Gran Turismo 3, & Katamari Damacy

PC - Sid Meier's Civilization, Tie Fighter & X-Wing, Everquest, Multiplayer Battletech, Air Warrior, Subspace.

FINISH HIM!!

Arcade - Mortal Kombat
