I have a level 60 night elf druid on this server.

Was hoping there would be lots of pvp.. as that what I was accustomed to originally on burning legion. Alas, it was hard to find pvp until I was 60.. where I wsg-ed against the same people all the time.

Also, the tight groups of 5 boxed characters.. bugs, and ddos sucks.

I did play till 60 though so no h8.

I gave the server two and a half weeks. I really tried to like it. I DID like what the Admins had attempted with Emerald Dream as a classic server, but they completely dropped the ball on enforcing their own rules set on top of showing blatant favoritism for Alliance. The pair of rotten apple Hitler complex GM's the server is stuck with is another downer.

I could go into a list of specifics if you want, but at the end of the day it really comes down to the community being absolute shit. Absolute. Shit. I've had more friendly exchanges in League of Legends.

Edit - after all that hate, I'll post something useful. Server population hits about 1400 people roughly on the weekends at prime time, with it bouncing around the 800-900 mark at prime time week days. The server is primarily Euro with the player base in terms of the time frame people do instances. The server economy is surprisingly not crap, which amazed me. Horde side has better prices in terms of being noob friendly in getting stuff sold / purchasing. Population is about 66% alliance / 44 % horde, which is sweet as hell too.

Every class has bugs. Look up the bug tracker for your specific class to know in advance what won't work. To give an example, my troll priest would not have Shadowguard proc Blackout, which really depressed me for pvp concerns. It's best to know what's broken (and won't ever be fixed) in advance of leveling something.

Instance scripting isn't perfect. There's numerous anomalies or things flat out bugged in terms of scripting flow and mob placement. If you're cool with that, instances can still be completed. I've just seen Trinity Core / Mangos scripting that's better.

Overall, Valkyrie WoW (Russian infested clusterfuck - I don't hate the dudes, but man they are sooo anti social in general) and Rebirth (very low player population) both have far better attention paid to character abilities / instance scripting. Servers are just cleaner and better run / maintained over ED by a mile. Not that I have any interest. P99 owns.

One other thing that pissed me off with ED, and then I'm done.

Multiboxing. Multiboxing is legal and I don't hate that in general. But it's a PvP server so you can imagine the headaches that it can cause. The server rule is that multiboxed characters aren't allowed to engage in PvP, or the accounts get perma banned.

But here's the reality.

If you are dual boxing and you bounce between characters (one fighting and one healing, say), tabbing between them, then that's legal. Seriously.

Meanwhile, if the multiboxer is running 5 characters in a group using a mirror action key program, they can respond to your attack with whatever character in their group that they want.

So, you see 5 toons in the distance that are multiboxed. You decide to commit to killing the lead character that the other 4 are copying. You burn resources in attacking that character, and on your damage log you have taken no damage from the enemy 5 characters. The player then decides to take their 4th or 5th toon of the group to attack you. Your resources are committed already, but he doesn't care.

GM's think this is legit. So basically, open world pvp has multiboxers holding the advantage with their blessing. Fuck that.

Idk how people even play wow private servers, they have the worst pathing that I ever saw in my life. A big part of classic wow was how the mob pathing was almost perfect other then most mmos at the time. On any wow private server I try to play whenever you try to pull something LOS doesn't do anything at all and they just run through everything.

EDs biggest faggot issue wasn't (idk if it still is since I haven't played there in ages) the mob pathing. I was able to LoS pull casters to my groups without too many issues.
It was the (for warriors at least) Charge-Or-Intercept-And-Fall-Through-The-World which btw happened quite commonly that pissed me off. Especially when I was PvPing.

Yea they had to fix charge so you ended up behind the mob or something to try and prevent that but it still happened a lot.
