I would add to this, the solution "is as it ever was" : a good guild.

Everquest is not a good "lobby" type game. That will do for just putzing around (like me) but a good guild can get shit done. Or, an alliance of guilds, like we had on Quellious quite commonly.

I want to lay this issue at the feet of people's willingness to actually do the guild thing. A good guild gets shit done. And there is a lot of stuff outside these poopsock contestations.
