I had a shockingly similar accident/surgery.

I've actually lost movement in the finger since the operation. It's still total dead weight. Therapy simply didn't improve it.

Good luck op, hope you dont end up like me
can you manually curl or is it a boner finger?

Boner finger

The hospital I went to had a nurse pass off as a doctor. They didn't diagnose the sliced tendon (and both nerves). Grew very impatient and kept telling me I was fine.

3 weeks later I can't move it at all still, still totally numb, went to a hand specialist and he basically said I needed surgery 3 weeks ago. He expected good results despite the amount of time it was left unattended -- didn't work out that way, however.

Shit sucks

I went to ER that night and x-ray confirmed tendon laceration, was put in dorsal splint. I still had my nerves but it was like 3 weeks til surgery, and today was first time I got the cast off after another 3 weeks. Now touch sensation is fuckin wierd and I had like 0 movement today. Got referral to some 30 yr hand god expert for therapy but she aint call me yet.
