RMT bans targeting "buyers" is pretty pointless... Its like arresting the crackheads while the dealers, growers and middle men go free.

I still wonder why the same people are always farming fungi's all day.. I mean these people have best in slot gear and very little to no use for plat. Yet they need to corpse bank 10-12 fungi's per day? really?

You have a skewed sense of the rate at which fungi tunics drop if you think anyone is getting double digit drops in a day.

You might get 3-4 in a 24 hr period, which is why people farm them for hours on end. Once you have been at the camp for 8 hours with no drops you get into serious gambler's fallacy where you keep saying "F*** this sh**, if I leave now 3 tunics will drop in a row and some other a** hole will get all of them!".

ANYWAY, the RMT ban-waves are good --- but at the same time did they really announce that bans were coming before they hit? That seems counter-intuitive?

I'm just addressing the, now defunct, fungi camp. The same people are always farming it all day because when you get the camp you don't give it up. By no means do the people at fungi have best in slot or need best in slot to do the camp. And yes -- people need the plat to buy their epics / haste items. Know how many fungi's are there are to a ranger epic atm? 14. Thats at least two and a half days solid in fungi camp wherein I get EVERY one that drops.

As word spreads buyers are losing accounts they paid real money cash for, there will be less buyers.

RWT will likely never be fully banished sadly, but there surely could be more done and more could be looked in to about prevention and discouragement. Not bashing any dev's or anything just saying, a lot more things can be done to help, and that involves the cooperation of rule abiding players as well.

So next time you do one of these ban waves... please announce who got banned and what you took out of the economy, otherwise it just sounds like talk and the people who were "banned" are back on the game in a couple months.

Ok serious question and not an accusation....When one guild has a pretty much lock on all high end item spawns at what point with infinite amounts of plat does the motivation to keep going stop unless it's going for RMT?
