This server is actually putting a system in place that is going to let you earn ranks the way you did in Vanilla during TBC. It won't effect anything other than the title you earn (unless you do reach r14 and buy that gear for cosmetic looks), but it is nice that they compromised that negative part of TBC to some extent.

That's a draw to me, I was a Warlord on my server...didn't want to put another 3-4 weeks getting High Warlord so had to be content with the armor set and no tasty weapon [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The old ladder system certainly rewarded time investment over skill however, but as a shaman it wasn't too hard (in a knowledgable team) to carry at least 1 of the 3 flags to ultimate victory each game in WSG [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Interested to see if they'll patch the boots that gave shamans/druids +40% movement speed for that purpose while in wolf/cheetah form.

I've played on a fair few private WoW servers and this looks by far the most promising. They have a dedicated dev team currently going through all the content, testing it and restoring it to pre-nerf conditions. This will be a very serious and well-supported server, very likely the best in the history of WoW emus.

vanilla wow was the best, tbc was good but arenas were dumb and killed world pvp. the old honor system was the best part about wow.
Play DF:UW if you want real PvP.

edit: My bad, vanilla WoW is actually pretty decent. I was drunk at the time of the original post. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Vanilla wow was the best because it was a piece of shit in a time when everything else was an inferior piece of shit. Go play DF:UW if you want real PvP.

Unholy Wars is soooooooooo bad. You would have more fun punching yourself in the dick till you passed out.

Was never interested in any of the WoW Emus. This one seems interesting to me. How are warlocks during this time period? I enjoyed playing one in CB/OB but never bought the game after.

Can't remember if ret paladins were great at this era, or just "Better than what they were". I know they got pretty good later on (either end of TBC or in WotLK).
