Ahh but I have read all the books..so spoilers don't matter...unless you are a witch, who is spoiling books not yet released! =p

I joke, my thoughts were along the same lines...Snow/Daenerys hook up...save the world..not sure who the 3rd rider is at this point..tho arya is a contender after her assassin training is finished.

One of my new favorite theories is Jon will be brought back to life by Lady Stoneheart.

I am going off memory here but they say Jon will worg into ghost and then his body will be preserved in an ice cell. Melisandre who has never resurrected anyone and doesn't know how but knows Thoros did will then contact him who will then bring Lady Stoneheart to the wall.

Before she gets to the wall Lady Stoneheart will come across Howland Reed and will learn Jons true parents R+J. Feeling guilty about how she treated him all his life she will forgive Ned and Jon and then she will the pass life from her to Jon which will kill Lady Stoneheart like it did Beric Dondarrion.

Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone

We know the smoke and salt part.. but could the dragon being woken out of stone be from lady Stoneheart? She awakes the dragon (Jon) out of stone(her).

Anyway I like this theory.

i dont read reddit at all unless im linked there for a particular thing. so i have absolutely no idea whats in that thread(s) but ill check it out after i post this.

Lady Stoneheart can't bring folks back to life, that's Thoros. Catelyn didnt like Jon, why would Lady Stoneheart? i think it's more likely that Melisandre will be able to rezz, and it's much easier to do geographically/chronologically. Remember that Stoneheart is in the Riverlands waiting for Brienne to bring Jaime to her.

as far as Jon, the prologue informs us that it's possible to worg into your animal, if the worg/person was to die. and then Melisandre foreshadows it in that paragraph in book 5 where she tells Jon to keep Ghost close by. as much as i'm not a fan of Jon Snow, i have accepted him as a central point of the story. that being said, i'm convinced hes not perma dead. hes too honorable to break his vows and abandon the watch, "dying" gives him an out. and yep, the body would be preserved in the ice cell.

SOMEONE needs to bump into Howland Reed. maybe Stoneheart, but maybe not. and if she learned this info, would she even care? shes clearly emotionally damaged at this point. as far as sacrificing herself... why? Beric was killed and rezzed like 5 times before he was to weak to keep doing it, thats why he gave up his life for hers. now granted Catelyns corpse was pretty fucked up, and so maybe shes to weak to even survive one rezz. Personally i think the Howland Reed and his men will pledge to support Jon Snow (however, remember that is R+L=J is true, then Jon comes AFTER Bran and Rickon in the line of succession).

the stone dragon. im not sure. it could be a metaphor for a conqueror that comes from Dragon Stone. it could be a dragon under the wall, or something to do with the wall itself. it could be the fabled dragon under Winterfell. maybe Aegon will get greyscale, and then he would literally be "The Stone Dragon". lots of possibilities, not enough solid info.

not "spoiling" cause i dunno what will happen in book 6, BUT, i like to be a young conspirator when it comes to these books. and since i think Jon is both "PtwP" and "AA", and we know the red priests can rezz peeps, then its a perfect way for Jon to be reborn, as well as be free of his vows, and he can still be his annoying honorable self.

ultimately, i think Stannis will end up as the 1000th commander of the nights watch
