I am posting here because I am a current MacroQuest user and a Macro programmer.

I am no cheater.

I do not think all you lowbies understand what ShowEQ is versus MacroQuest

ShowEQ is simply cheating, no way around it.

MacroQuest is for people who play MULTIPLE toons (also known as multi boxing) on PEQ and many other servers who allow boxing.

Now....

Macro's are written not to "Cheat" but to control all your characters from your main toon.

Simply put...

if you /load a macro on project 1999 you're wasting your time unless you're boxing... (which would be considered cheating anyway so either way you're fucked)

I also know for a FACT, that when /loading a macro on a different server, it does not /load that same macro in all other windows.

I have not cheated for all 59 level's I acquired. I might have AFK'ed a shit ton but you know what, I put in my time and I've helped this community every way I can.

Noobies all around Norrath know Bearnuts as being a friendly and giving player.

I support Project 1999 stopping people from using showEQ to see when mobs spawn, what loot drops, etc. (these are things I have only heard that ShowEQ can do)

I currently do not mind the ban.

EQ is not my only joy in life, let alone Project 1999.

I do want to congratulate the GM's on really cracking down on 2-Boxers, the sad thing is that many people who get exempt accounts will and do box their "significant others" characters and I think that they are sitting back and laughing at this situation because they basically have a VIP card to do whatever the fuck they want.

I know the Dev's are very disappointed by the use of 3rd party programs, but they need to understand the difference between people knowingly cheating to gain benefit on project 1999 (IE: Boxing, ShowEQ) versus people who have every right to enjoy their EQEMU experience on other servers.
You cheated on p99. Sorry but that's a fact. Uthgaard even stated in another thread that they'd know if you just ran it on another server.

[..snip..]

What I did use however was macroquest, though in this version hardly any of the "hacks" actually worked. MQ2 requires you to either compile it yourself based on which features you want it to have available(or real hackers could make their own), or to find a precompiled version specific to the version of your eqgame.exe. It didn't take long to find one that worked specifically with the titanium client and was the same version I had used with VZTZ. As I mentioned however most of the really ridiculous stuff never worked on VZTZ, nor did I even try it here. The quickest way to get caught using it is to do things that stood out and made it obvious. Warping, runspeed, etc.. In fact out of all the features that even worked I only used it for 5 and they were pure convenience. The convenience I speak of are full time buffs of things my character could already do, but saved me time and effort in not having to do them. By simply typing in a command you could give yourself ultravision, see invisible, water breathing and even the ability to see underwater or lava without the murkiness. Now on a blubie server this isn't that big of a deal as it doesn't really effect other players, it simply gives you an advantage. No need for EB earring or fish scales to keep casting the spell. On a PvP server however you can see how broken it would be to NOT have it when most people did.

The biggest thing I found useful was the tracking. MQ2 gave you the ability to track just as if you were a Ranger/Druid/Bard, except there were no limits to the range. You could sort it by level, name, player, npc, etc..
If that's not cheating then I have no clue what planet you come from.

Can the admins please post some statistics from the ban? I am interested in:

1) Total amount of plat removed from the game
2) total amount of XP or levels lost by players.. Perhaps it can be x number of 60's are now around 54, y number of 59's are now around xx etc.
3) Totals per class suspended.. I'd be curious to know what the breakdown was per class.

Thank you and keep up the great work!

Lol... inb4 200 necros, 100 bards, 25mages, 25 druids, 14 sks and 1 paladin. But now the paladin is back and cleared.

This makes me want to create a thread 'classes that attract douche players' and if Rogean gives us the statistics we can find out for sure, once and for all.
